Today’s book is another one that I read with my 18 month old nephew, My Mum & Dad Make me Laugh by Nick Sharratt.
In this story, Mum wears spots, Dad wears stripes, and the boy wears grey. Mum and Dad make him laugh because of their clothes choices, as well as the decorations in their house.
There is a great message of individuality and telling kids that it’s OK to be different from their parents. I really enjoyed this story and the bright pictures and simple story. While reading the story, I couldn’t guess what the last page would be like. It’s a fun twist.
