SAMSUNGToday’s book was recommended to us at a primary school book sale, it’s The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland.

It is a gorgeous story where four friends are trying to find a place to get out of the rain to play, and discover a bear in the cave.

I really enjoyed this story and the different characters portrayed through the animals. They each try and come up with a solution for the cranky bear that fits well with their personality, with the most unlikely character coming up with a solution so they can play their game in the warmth of the cave.

The pictures in this book are simple and gorgeous. I love how the rain falls and the pictures show the wet animals outside and them warm inside the cave.

One exciting thing about this book is that it’s now been made into an app for iPhone and iPad by Wheelbarrow, along with other books by Nick Bland. If you have an iPhone or iPad, be sure to check it out in the app store.
