Today’s book is Pete the Sheep by Jackie French, illustrated by Bruce Whatley. My sister gave this book to us for Christmas a few years ago and we all love it.
This is the story about a sheep sheep (not a sheep dog) and his boss Shaun, and about doing things differently.
It is an enjoyable story about sheep and sheep dogs and shearing. I don’t want to give too much away about this gorgeous tale.
I was lucky enough to grow up with a grandfather who had a sheep farm and we would go up to visit at Christmas time when they were shearing, so that is one thing that appeals to me. It is also a delightful story.
I’m so glad this challenge has got me dusting off this story.
